Meet the Business Owner:
Patrick C.
Originally from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Patrick graduated from Salisbury University with Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy in 2004. After traveling abroad in Northern Africa and Europe, Patrick returned home to work locally with organic farms in order to further his knowledge and passion for sustainable agriculture and whole foods. After establishing relationships with local members of several community supported agriculture programs in Maryland, Patrick decided to turn in a different direction to develop a better understanding of holistic well-being and the healing arts. The New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics offered a wellspring of knowledge about several bodywork modalities and energetic healing techniques. Patrick recently returned from Plum Village in France, where he had the opportunity to practice with Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh during a month long meditation retreat. " I try to bring my experience with mindfulness and meditation to every treatment I offer."

Jessica Royer, NTS, CCT, CCSP, LMT # 6834
Specialties:
I specialize in Core Synchronism, Polarity Therapy and Reflexology, as well as Prenatal and Postpartum care. I use an integrated approach to bodywork, combining elements of both energetic and physical modalities, such as Swedish Massage and Myofascial Release, in order to treat the whole person and assist in reestablishing balance and the free-flow of energy within the body.
History:
I began practicing bodywork in 2001 while living in Flagstaff, Arizona. At the time I was pursuing the study of Environmental Policy and felt called to the practice of healing arts after beginning to see the importance of one's own wellness in creating the wellness of the society and the ecosystem in which he or she lives. In 2005, I had the opportunity to travel to Cuenca, Ecuador where I studied the herbal and Chamanic medicines of the Andes. After attending the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics in Albuquerque in 2010, I completed my certification as a Level 6 Core Practitioner, as well as my certification in Colon Hydrotherapy. I have worked as a spa therapist at El Monte Sagrado in Taos as well as Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs and Spa, and have assisted classroom instruction at the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics. I now devote my time to my private practice and my new role as a mother.
Areas of Interest:
One of my passions is providing deep work, but with a gentle touch. This opens up bodywork as a therapeutic option to those who, for various reasons, have a heightened sensitivity to touch and therefore require a more subtle approach. It is a humbling experience to see how deeply effective bodywork can be while still remaining safe and gentle.
